The original end-face detector usually have two magnification levels: one is 400x, used to observe the details of the fiber end-face in the middle of the ferrule, and the other is 200x, used to check the defects on the edge of the entire end-face.

In the actual production process, two types of equipment need to be used in sequence for inspection respectively. For the high-precision cleaning of the end face of fiber optic connectors, inspecting twice adds an additional link where the connector comes into contact with the inspection instrument. Dust and scratches can also be introduced during the inspection process. In addition, in terms of work efficiency, adding one more inspection will inevitably reduce work efficiency, and at the same time, this process requires more workers to complete.
