Pen-type Carbide Fiber Optic Scribe is used for cutting optical fibers and is suitable for various places such as the production of optical fiber connectors and various optical devices, and optical fiber testing.

1. Before use, make sure there are no dents, damages, or blunting at the front end of the scriber;
2. Strip off the coating of the optical fiber to be cut completely, and it is best to wipe it with alcohol-soaked lint-free paper three times;
3. Confirm the position where the optical fiber is to be cut, place the optical fiber on your finger, and gently scratch with the scriber (note that the force should not be too large, otherwise the optical fiber will be crushed);
4. Hold the front end of the optical fiber with the other hand and gently break it until it breaks (note that this step is the most important. Most people tap with the scriber, which is acceptable during production because the fiber will be polished later. However, during construction, you must gently break it by hand to ensure the integrity of the optical fiber end face).

   Pay attention to steps 3 and 4, and the end face of the optical fiber cut with the optical fiber scriber will be flat, comparable to the end face of a polished optical fiber!
