Product Introduction
Product features: The electrode rod is an indispensable consumable part for optical fiber fusion splicers and needs to be replaced regularly, which is also one of the daily maintenance tasks for optical fiber fusion splicers. Therefore, determining when to replace the electrodes and mastering the method of replacing them is one of the skills that users of optical fiber fusion splicers should possess.
Notes: When replacing the electrodes, first, you must ensure that the fusion splicer is turned off. Remove the protective cover of the electrode chamber, loosen the screw that fixes the upper electrode, take out the upper electrode, then loosen the set screw of the lower electrode and take out the lower electrode. Second, install the new electrodes by following the reverse steps of removing the electrodes, and operate in sequence. The required gap between the two electrodes is 2.6 ± 0.2 mm. After that, during the assembly process, do not touch the tips of the electrodes to prevent damage to them, and avoid the electrodes falling into the machine, which may cause damage. After replacing the electrodes, the arc position should be calibrated.
